Below is a simple and meaningful plan for a 5-minute daily devotional that anyone can follow.
Why Daily Devotions Matter
Time with God every day keeps our hearts soft and ready to hear His voice.
It is easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and forget to make space for the Lord.
When we open the Bible daily, we are reminded that He is with us through everything. Jesus said,
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).
His Word is food for our souls, giving us the strength we need for each day.
A simple daily habit of devotion helps us to stay close to Him, even in busy seasons of life.
Step 1 — Begin with Prayer
Start your devotional by speaking to God with a simple prayer.
Thank Him for a new day and ask Him to open your heart to His Word.
You do not have to use fancy words; God listens to every sincere prayer. The Bible encourages us,
“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).
